Nursery Funding

Nursery Education Grant (NEG) funding is available upon application to every child over 3 years and from their second term at nursery for 38 weeks term time only. This entitles your child to receive five funded 2½ hour sessions a week. The nursery provides ½ an hour Free of Charge to allow your child to access the full 3 hour session we provide. If your child attends any extra sessions above this then you will be required to pay a top up for non-NEG funded sessions.

Child Tax Credit is available to help meet the cost of childcare for parents who are working a minimum of 16 hours per week. For more information phone the Tax Credit Helpline on 0845 3003900.

Child Care vouchers may be available to you from your employer. This scheme allows for up to £50 per week of your salary to be converted into child care vouchers which can be used to offset your fees. The benefit is that the money is not subject to Income Tax or National Insurance contributions. If your employer does not operate such a scheme you can encourage them to start one by directing them to The Day Care Trust and their factsheets.

Further advice or information about all the above is also available form the Children’s Information Service on 08000 323230
